Throughout the development of Faerie Press we identified key gaps in areas across children’s publishing on the island of Ireland, and beyond. As an organisation we have developed strategies to tackle these issues and begin the process of building a new perspective that highlights our key values.

Currently, we provide:

• An inclusive community for marginalised individuals and organisations to get involved in Northern Ireland, and beyond;

• Expertise, knowledge, and experience in representing the voices of the LGBTQ+ community;

• Sensitivity reading for artists and organisations to ensure the experiences of LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent people are respected; and

• An publishing platform that prints and distributes inclusive literature for children.

 

As Faerie Press grows we hope our joy continues to inspire more children, artists and organisations to diversify the publishing industry.
